Saddest Day!! Michael Jackson is Dead!! :(

MICHAEL JACKSON

The King of Pop Michael Jackson has died after suffering a fatal heart attack at the age of 50. The Thriller legend was taken to hospital earlier today after frantic aides found him unconscious at his mansion in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles.

The Medics administered CPR en-route to L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai hospital to try and keep him alive, but he was totally unresponsive.

After just a few hours in a coma, Jackson died as his family members, including his mother and brothers, rushed to be at his bedside.

The seventh child of the Jackson clan, the singer shot to fame as part of The Jackson 5 at the age of 11, alongside his brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine and Marlon.

Due to his stunning vocals and dancing ability, Jackson became the stand-out star of the family group, and launched his solo career in 1972 with the release of Got to Be There.

Interest in the star grew to phenomenal proportions as he released his iconic Thriller LP ten years later. The disc went on to become the biggest selling record of all time - shifting a staggering 109 million copies to date.

He quickly became the forthright pop musician of the 1980s, and garnered a cult-like following due to the popularity of his music videos and iconic dance moves, including the Moonwalk.

Picking up 13 Grammy awards throughout his career, as well as 13 number one singles in the U.S., Jackson achieved a number of entries in the Guinness World Records - including the accolade Most Successful Entertainer of All Time. He released ten best-selling albums.

But the superstar's career hasn't been without controversy, starting with the drastic change in his appearance, most notably the colour of his skin, which some assumed the star had bleached white. Jackson refuted the rumours, insisting he suffered from pigmentation condition vitiligo.

Often thought of as child-like himself, especially after purchasing sprawling California estate Neverland and decking it out with funfair rides and his own private zoo, the world was stunned as a 13-year-old boy and his father accused the singer of child sexual abuse. Jackson, who was strip searched at his ranch, vehemently denied the claims, settling out of court with the child's family for $22 million (GBP14.7 million).

However, similar accusations reapperaed years later, and in 2003 it was alleged he sexually abused another young boy. His trial began in 2005, with hundreds of fans supporting him daily outside the Santa Maria, California courthouse. After five months he was acquitted on all counts.

In 1993, at the height of the first child abuse scandal, Jackson married Elvis Presley's daughter Lisa Marie . Presley explained that their relationship sprung out of an understanding of the intense pressures of fame, for which her father had also suffered. The world's media speculated furiously over the intricate details of their relationship, insisting the union was a ploy to shift focus on the sex abuse allegations. The pair later divorced less than two years later.

As Jackson embarked on his first world tour since the controversies, the HIStory tour, it was announced he had married dermatologist nurse Deborah Jeanne Rowe, who fathered the first of the star's children Michael Joseph Jackson. Jr, who he later dubbed Prince, in 1997. A daughter, Paris Michael Katherine Jackson, was later born. The couple subsequently divorced in 1999, with Rowe giving the star full custody rights of their children.

The hitmaker kept a low-profile following his HIStory tour, and returned to the public spotlight in 2001 to mark his 30th anniversary in the music industry. He appeared onstage with his brothers for the first time since 1984, and was joined by a string of superstars including Whitnet Houston, Usher and Britney Spears who paid homage to the star's stellar career.

After the release of his relatively poor-selling Invincible album in 2001, Jackson welcomed a third child the following year. Prince Michael Jackson II, known as Blanket, was delivered by an unknown surrogate mother. The singer attracted controversy again after he dangled the tot from the balcony of a Berlin hotel.

Another spell in the showbiz wilderness followed, until it was announced in February this year that the star would be making a stage comeback for a 50-date residency at London's 02 Arena.

Jackson was reported to have pulled in $75 million (£50 million) from the dates, to aid his dire financial situation, following the foreclosure of his Neverland Estate to service a loan Jackson owed on the property. Experts feared the star wouldn't be well enough to perform at the shows after reports leaked he was suffering from skin cancer. Only last month, the superstar cancelled the first week of the tour, insisting he needed more time to prepare for the extravaganza.

Michael Jackson, dead at 50 years old, is survived by his three children, his mother and father; Joseph and Katherine, and his five brothers and three sisters, Janet, Rebbie and Latoya.. :(

How To Take Care Of The Voice As A Singer??

1) The chances of an aspiring singer being noticed by a recording studio lies in the quality of his voice. Thus, the budding singer should take care of his voice even if he has to go to singing practice everyday for very long hours.

2) Even professional singers who are already famous should take care of their voice quality to make sure they stay long in the business. Most singers who have gotten famous have allowed fame and fortune to go to their heads and have forgotten how to take good care of their voice. Losing voice quality can lead to career failure.

3) Those who are just beginning to sing should take voice lessons regularly to improve the quality of their voice as well as their singing styles. A person may have good vocal quality but taking voice lessons can improve voice quality as well as teach a person to maximize the use of his singing voice.

4) Professional singers also turn to voice coaches to make sure they maintain the quality of their voices as well as their performance level. Singing songs is not just belting out tunes but more importantly it is the act of putting meaning into the songs.

5) Taking care of the singing voice of a singer enables him to discover and experiment on different music genres that can make him a versatile singer. Singing lessons also include the ability to pronounce the words or the songs properly. It also includes confidence building for the singer.

6) It is important to take voice lessons because a singer can’t hear his mistakes. A vocal coach can correct mistakes in emoting, pronunciation and even in the movement of the body.

7) Taking voice lessons should be one of the very basic activities that should be regularly taken by a budding as well as a professional singer because it will teach the singer to breath properly and get his voice range properly. It will also enable the singer to learn proper singing techniques.

8) A singer should also take care of his vocal quality by making sure he doesn’t use his voice excessively. Singers should limit practice hours to reasonable periods so as to maintain a good vocal quality. They should also inhibit from talking too much before and after practice.

9) A good singing voice is said to be the capital of a singer and it can make or break his singing career. This makes it all the more imperative for him to preserve his vocal quality in whatever way he sees possible and feasible for him.

My B'Day!!

Today(10/06/2009) is this aspiring singer's B'Day..

"10" Tips for a being a singer!!

1) When picking out karaoke music, know that you need to catch the audience in the first 30 seconds. Don't pick a song that isn't your best in those crucial moments.

2) Remember to always Be Yourself -- it'll help to create an honest performance when it's time to show off your voice.

3) Find the joy in singing. There's nothing like watching someone in their "element." If you love singing, then it'll show no matter how well you sing.

4) Believe and trust in yourself and don't assume that you know it all. It takes time to develop your sound AND your voice. It takes longer to convince people how great you are.

5) Always tell yourself you are the greatest. You might hear another singer who can hit a couple of tones above you, or whose voice chimes as beautiful as singing birds, but don't let envy get to you. Don't get over confident either. But, always think, in the back of your head, that you are the greatest.

6) Practice your songs at home, in the shower, in your car, anywhere and anytime! You'll never get better if you don't practice. Remember, Practice makes Perfect!

7) Relax and just be yourself. If you can't sing and there is absolutely no help for you at all, your audience will let you know in a kind but firm way.

8) Ask your family members to help you with their criticism. You need to take it and use it as editing your mistakes.

9) Drink water or other healthy drinks all the time. Sodas and coffee can ruin your vocal cords, so don't drink those at least 24 hours before a performance. Water is a must right before and after a performance but for best results, drink all the time but push it before and after a show (be careful not to drink so much or so quickly just before singing that it causes you to burp or feel bloated).

10) Dont try to imitate others voice.

How to "BECOME A SINGER"???

1. Learn how to sing. This is the foundation of your career as a singer. While there are some performers making a career out of singing when they don't really sing all that well, it's those people who have their craft as singers and continually improve their form and ability who command the most respect as singers.

2. Study singers whom you admire. How do they sing? How did they become professional singers? What kind of crowd do they cater too? What is their signature style? Don't totally copy them though, singers have to be unique!

3. Begin taking voice lessons. Having a voice coach can really train your voice and, if you practice, you will notice marked vocal improvement within a few weeks. Voice training is important in strength and overall quality of your voice. You can also damage your voice if you aren't singing properly. Find which note your voice is most comfortable singing at and sing there a lot.

4. Become comfortable as a performer. Get over your stage fright (if you have it) and start gaining some practical experience by singing wherever and whenever you get a chance to do so in front of a group of people (karaoke bars, parties, school talent shows, etc.). Connect with your listeners.

5. Develop your own style. Experiment with different ways of singing and different types of music and find one that fits your personality and makes the most of your voice at the same time. You want people to be able to recognize your voice when they hear it.

6. Get a Singing Job. No matter how well you can sing, you'll never be a successful singer if you don't convince people to pay you to do it. That could mean joining a band, singing at your local cafe, performing on Broadway, or even recording a jingle for a commercial--your goal is to make a living as a singer. Get to it!
